REALTY COURSE FOR APPRAISERS, CONSULTANTS AND PROPERTY MANAGERS OPENS MAY 2012


The Chamber of Real Estate & Builders’ Associations Inc. (CREBA), in cooperation with the De La Salle College of Saint Benilde School of Professional and Continuing Education (DLS-CSB SPACE), opens the course “Real Estate Appraisal, Consultancy and Property Management” on May 19, 2012. The six-week program is the fourth of six modules leading to a Diploma in Real Estate Management.

Classes will be held at the ninth floor of the CSB School of Design and Arts Campus at 950 Pablo Ocampo Street, Malate Manila every Saturday until June 23, 2012 from 1:00 to 7:30 pm.

This was announced by Charlie A. V. Gorayeb, CREBA national president. Gorayeb said that the program, which has been running for 10 years, is the first of its kind in real estate education in the Philippines.

CREBA Vice-President for Academic Affairs Professor Roque A. Magno said that the course shall cover 11 topics: Introduction to Appraisal and the Philippine Valuation Standards; Appraisal Theories and Principles; Valuation Procedures and Research; Methodology of Appraisal; Appraisal of Machinery and Equipment & Specialized Properties; Practical Appraisal Mathematics; Property and Asset Management; Real Estate Finance, Economics, Investment Guidelines and Report Writing; Land Management Systems and Related Laws; Human and Physical Geography in the Selection of Development Sites; and Leasing and Tenant Relations.

Other courses offered within the year include real estate marketing; laws, regulations and taxation; urban and environmental planning, construction and development; and investments and finance. Participants who complete all six courses are awarded a Diploma issued jointly by CREBA and DLS-SPACE.
